Tara Malhotra ~ Yoga
Tara’s style of teaching embraces humility, hard work, and remaining injury-free and on the healing path for the students and teachers that she trains. Tara has been teaching numerous disciplines of yoga for over 20 years. She is a Level I Iyengar Yoga instructor since 1999, and offers private yoga and pranayam (Indian traditional deep breathing and relaxation methods) sessions at Integrate. She specializes in cultivating effective teaching strategies for yoga teachers from all schools of yogic discipline, and creating simple yet transformational yoga posture routines for beginner level students and beyond. She has also worked with elderly and disabled clients, helping them to discover yoga as a method of rejuvenating and healing their bodies.
She is the founding director of yoga since 2008 at the Bharaatarpana Institute of Fine Arts in Chennai, India, and has taught yoga extensively in India and Nepal for more than 15 years. She instructs the Ashtanga school of yoga established by S. Pattabhi Jois, and received training in Mysore, Southern India, Bikram Yoga, from Calcutta, India, and Iyengar Yoga, from Karnataka and Maharashtra. Tara has also founded her own multi-layered series inclusive of free weights, use of the wall for inversions, and development of pranayama methods integrated into the Iyengar, Ashtanga, and Kundalini series of postures, called Sujood Yoga, which means yoga in prostration to the Divine, and incorporates sacred remembrance of the Creator into movement and reverence in the Child’s Pose, or sujood in Arabic.
Most of Tara’s teaching experience encompasses training present and future yoga teachers from childhood to advanced age, furthering their personal practices, and improving the teacher/student’s effectiveness in whatever discipline(s) of yoga they choose practice. She has practiced pranayama about 40 years, and is fluent in the Sanskrit language, ancient Arabic, and can add authenticity and depth to students and teachers’ practices alike. She customizes a series of poses for client patients to facilitate long term recovery from injuries, and to make resolution of chronic illness a rewarding participation experience.
Manei Serafini ~ Yoga
Emmanuel (Manei) is a recent emergence of the modern yoga teaching community but his passion for movement and self-exploration has been blossoming for a number of years. He specializes in Power Yoga and nothing excites him more than to lead and learn from those whose intentions are to better themselves for the sake of creating harmony in this world. “My search for peace and understanding has repeatedly returned me two places, nature and my yoga mat.”
Kaity has been practicing yoga for over 5 years. Even as a teacher I am not perfect, and I do not expect my students to be. I focus on safety and personal growth. Yoga is an ever growing journey for your soul, meant to connect the mind, body and spirit not an intense, competitive exercise. At the end of class my purpose is to leave my students with a smile and a full heart.
