Where are you? Are you leaning in to the change/cycle you are currently going through or being called towards?
You see, a cascade of biochemicals course through our bodies when the stress response ignites. What happens when body and brain go into this alarm state? Imagine: tight muscles, increased heart rate, impaired digestion, depressed immune system and the list travels on. It is not necessarily the event, but rather your body’s response to the event that causes total body/mind shut down. So, back to where my role as a wellness practitioner is vital. Utilizing massage therapy on a regular basis reduces stress significantly on both a physical and psychological level. Once on the table, you are allowing yourself undivided time to check out. Breathing with your pain, your tension, and achieving a deeper release in those areas. Knots in our bodies teach us what must change in order to feel happy and balanced and pain free. Once you rise off of the table, it is my intention for you to actually feel like you are back in your body. Rejuvenated. Present. Whole.
